Basaltic magmas

Basaltic magmas: molten masses at temperatures exceeding 1000 °C. They are characterized by mafic elements with less than 52% SiO₂, resulting in the formation of basaltic rocks that solidify at the surface due to rapid cooling. These rocks are typically dark in color, with textures ranging from microcrystalline to glassy.
