Calcium

Calcium: chemical element in the alkaline earth metal group; symbol Ca, atomic number 20, atomic weight 40.08. It is a soft, gray metal used as a reducing agent in the mining extraction of Thorium, Uranium, and Zirconium. It is the fifth most abundant element in the Earth’s crust. It is the third most abundant metal after Iron and Aluminum.
