Conglomerates

Conglomerates: a term often used narrowly to describe cemented rudites (with clasts larger than 4 mm) whose components are rounded. The corresponding loose sediments are gravels and debris. Most conglomerates are epiclastic and sometimes cataclastic; eluvial conglomerates are the only type that have not undergone transport. The most common environments are alluvial and coastal deltaic settings.
