Crystallization Systems: in crystallography, a Crystal System is a grouping of several Symmetry Classes with similar characteristics. Each system includes crystal structures that share the same shape of the unit cell (for example, Cubic, Tetragonal, Hexagonal). There are a total of seven Crystal Systems (Cubic or Isometric, Tetragonal, Hexagonal, Trigonal, Orthorhombic, Monoclinic, and Triclinic), grouped into three Crystal Classes (Monometric, Dimetric, and Trimetric). Each Crystal System encompasses several types of crystal lattices, totaling 14 different lattices. All crystalline minerals are grouped and classified into one of the seven Crystal Systems, and each mineral species belongs to only one Crystal System.
