Hydrothermal Process

Hydrothermal Process: final stage of Magmatic Consolidation, during which minerals are deposited from predominantly aqueous hot solutions, while almost all the magma has already solidified in earlier phases. The Hydrothermal Phase begins at the critical temperature of water at normal pressure (372°C) and ends when the waters have deposited the dissolved salts.
