Magmatic Process: in mineral formation, this is the most important process, not only as a standalone process but also as the driver of Contact Metamorphism, another significant genetic process for rocks and minerals. It is divided, based on progressively decreasing temperatures during the cooling and solidification of the magmatic mass, into the Orthomagmatic, Pegmatitic, Pneumatolytic, and Hydrothermal Crystallization Phases, each producing different minerals and rocks. Depending on the depth at which the process occurs and the cooling rate of the magma, it gives rise to Effusive Rocks and Intrusive Rocks.
