n_ω ; n_ε: in crystallographic optics, these symbols indicate in an Uniaxial Birefringent stone (see also Optical Sign), respectively, the constant Ordinary Ray Refractive Index (n_ω) and the variable Extraordinary Ray Refractive Index (n_ε).
