Silicon Oxide or Silicon Dioxide

Silicon Oxide or Silicon Dioxide: the physical state in nature is crystalline solid, in minerals such as quartz and its polymorphs (Tridymite, Cristobalite), and more rarely amorphous, as in opals; crystalline silica SiO₂ is the main constituent of several sedimentary rocks (sands, radiolarites, quartzarenites).
