Trachytes

Trachytes: acid alkaline effusive volcanic rocks, generally with a porphyritic structure, characterized by Potassium Feldspar (Sanidine), lesser amounts of Plagioclase, and mafic minerals. Trachytes are the most common effusive counterparts of Syenites.
