Tremolite

Tremolite: mineral of the Amphibole group, chemically a silicate with the formula Ca2Mg5 [(OH)Si4O11]2. It is translucent, with a vitreous to silky luster. It crystallizes in the Monoclinic System and occurs as prismatic or elongated acicular crystals, or in fibrous-radiating aggregates. It is found in metamorphic rocks.
