Antonio Angellotti is a PhD student at La Sapienza University (Rome, Italy) in the Department of Earth Sciences.

His research focuses on the study of the Earth's mantle by comparing laboratory-synthesized high-pressure mineral samples and the mineralogical inclusions identified within mantle diamonds.

Through the results obtained, new information will be provided regarding the processes of diamond genesis and ascent, understanding their conditions at formation (in terms of baric, thermal and chemical) in order to develop new models on mantle convection dynamics.
