Emmanuel Fritsch

Emmanuel Fritsch is professor of physics at Nantes University and specializes in the physics of gem materials.

His fields of interest cover diamond (natural, synthetic, morphology, spectroscopy) and colored stones (origin of color and luminescence, crystal growth aspects).

He has an interest in reaching the gap between other fields of science and gemmology, reflected in over 400 publications for all publics.
