After starting his career in the field of gemstone import and sales, Francesco Sequino decided to pursue the gemmological path by obtaining the diplomas of G.G. Graduate Gemologist and A.G. Accredited Gemologist IGI Antwerp and "FGA Fellow of the Gemmological Association" Gem-A, in addition to being A.G.A. Senior Gemologist.

Today he is the Administrator and Laboratory Head of the Gem-Tech Gemological Institute, as well as an IGI International Gemological Institute professor.

For several years he has been a speaker at many free seminars and conferences with industry associations such as Federorafi, Antico Borgo Orefici, Centro Orafo Oromare, Naples Chamber of Commerce, and IGI Alumni Italy. He has contributed actively to conferences such as the CIGES 2012 and 2013 editions, as well as having collaborations with several Italian university departments. He has also collaborated on several articles published on IGR - Rivista Italiana di Gemmologia – Italian Gemological Review.
