Loredana Prosperi is Director and Head of the Analysis Laboratory of the Istituto Gemmologico Italiano.

With a degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Milan and an I.G.I. Gemologist diploma, she has been involved in mineral and rock characterization for various clients.

In IGI since 1995. Years of experience in the field of gemological analysis and training make her one of the most prominent figures in the field on the Italian and international scene.

Loredana Prosperi has published scientific articles of a gemmological and petrographic nature.

President of F.E.E.G. (Federation for European Education in Gemmology), from 2012 to 2017.

Chairman of the Examination Committee of F.E.E.G. (Federation for European Education in Gemmology) from 2006 to 2012.

President of the Lombard Mineralogical Group, from 2015 to 2018.

Board member of the Italian Gemmologists Association since 1998.

Member of the Coral Commission and Gemmological Commission of the CIBJO.

Member of the Scientific Committee of Assogemme.

Member of the UNI Gemmological Commissions for the Istituto Gemmologico Italiano.
