Marilisa Y. Spironello is an Art Historian, Art Curator, Tourist Guide and Teacher at the Liceo Artistico Statale “Emilio Greco” in Catania. She was the curator of exhibitions, cultural events, seminars and workshops for the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania, the University of Catania, for private Catania institutions and foundations and, again, for various municipalities, the Sicilian Region and MIC. She was “cultrice della materia” for the discipline History of Modern Art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania. She has been a FAI delegate since 2010.

She is currently a PhD student in the XXXVIII cycle in Science for Heritage and Cultural Production at the University of Catania and is interested in studies on the History of Applied Arts and Goldsmithing with particular reference to the Sicilian context.
