The Apulian Academy of Sciences is holding a National Competition that will honor the best video that illustrates the concept of gemstone in a maximum time of 180 seconds. The selection of the videos will be overseen by a committee established by the Apulian Academy of Sciences. The commented video presentations must be the result of own and non-copyrighted material, so they must not contain material (animations, sounds, music, movies, etc.) downloaded from the web.

A competitor who submits a video longer than 3 minutes is automatically excluded.

The format of the presentations should be scientifically rigorous and at the same time such that they can be appreciated by an audience as wide as possible.

The videos will be reviewed by a Commission established by the Apulian Academy of Sciences, which will select three of them, leaving the final evaluation to the participants of the Conference who will designate the winner by voting.

The winner will be awarded with a Certificate and a prize of Euro 500 (five hundred), the second and third place winners with a Certificate of Merit.

All conference participants are invited to send a 3-minute video, accompanied by a brief of up to 10 lines, to: info@gem-tech.org. External platforms such as WeTransfer, Google Drive, Box or Dropbox can be used to upload the video, taking care to send the download link via email.

The deadline for participation in the video contest is June 23, 2023.
