Barite

Barite: a barium mineral belonging to the Barite group. It consists of Barium Sulfate, BaSO₄. It has a specific gravity of 4.5 g/cm³ and a hardness of 3 on the Mohs scale. It crystallizes in the Orthorhombic System. Typically colorless or white, it can also appear yellow or blue.
