Chrysoberyl

Chrysoberyl: mineral with the formula BeAl₂O₄. It ranges from transparent to translucent, with a luster from vitreous to greasy, and colors from yellow to greenish to brownish. It crystallizes in the Orthorhombic System and occurs in irregular, short, or tabular forms, often as single crystal individuals. Chrysoberyl is found in Pegmatites, alluvial deposits, and Schists.
