Cubic Zirconia: Cubic Zirconia is an artificial material, used as an imitation of diamond, produced in the laboratory using the “cold crucible” method. It is made with a mixture of Zirconium Oxide. The term “cubic” refers to the symmetry of its crystals (crystallizes in the Cubic or Isometric or Monometric System), while the word “Zirconia” refers to the chemical composition (ZrO2, Zirconium Dioxide). Density: 5.7 g/cm3; n = 2.15; dispersion = 0.060; hardness: 8.5.
