Diorites

Diorites: neutral intrusive rocks dominated by Plagioclase, with Pyroxenes, Amphiboles, or Biotite. Their texture is almost always granular holocrystalline hypidiomorphic. Diorites are widespread and commonly associated with Granodiorites and Granites. The corresponding extrusive rocks with similar composition are Andesites.
