Dolomites

Dolomites: rocks composed predominantly of Dolomite. The most substantial dolomitic formations are biohermal in origin, and much of the Dolomite present formed through dolomitization during the diagenesis of original Limestone rocks. There are all intermediate stages between Limestones and Dolomites. After Limestones, Dolomites are the most widespread Carbonate rocks.
