Main Minerals

Main Minerals: as the composition of the Earth’s Crust is dominated by Silicon and Oxygen, the Silicate elements are by far the most important class of minerals, as they account for 95% of rocks and over 90% of the earth’s crust. Beside Silicon and Oxygen, the other common elements in Silicates widely present in the Earth’s Crust are Aluminium, Magnesium, Iron, Calcium Sodium and Potassium.
