Pegmatitic Genesis: see also Magmatic Process – Crystallization Phases. A formation process occurring during the pegmatitic phase of magma solidification, which takes place at temperatures between 750 °C and 550 °C, resulting in the formation of:
- Minerals (both abundant and rare): Tourmaline, Beryl, Spodumene, Topaz, Feldspars, Micas, Quartz, Chrysoberyl
- Vein rocks: formed by magma injection into fractures driven by gases, producing crystals of remarkable size
- Pegmatitic rocks: coarse-grained vein rocks rich in the minerals listed in point 1 above.
