Synthetic Substances or Materials: materials formed through a laboratory process, directly resulting from human activity, possessing a natural counterpart and all the physical, chemical, and mineralogical characteristics of their natural equivalents. Example: Corundum (Ruby, Sapphire), Beryl (Emerald, Aquamarine), Spinel, etc.
