From June 22nd to 24th, 2024 the new edition of the NAJ Summit will be held at Park Regis in Birmingham, England, an event that brings together all sectors of the jewellery industry to share knowledge and experiences. The meeting will feature the Valuers’ Conference by the Institute of Registered Valuers and the Retail Jewellers’ Congress by the JET Business Network. The summit is organized by the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ), the leading voice for the industry in United Kingdom, with over 1,400 member companies.
Branko Deljanin (CGL), an international expert in diamond grading and gemstone identification, will discuss the identification of laboratory-grown diamonds and how diamond dealers, gemmologists, appraisers, and retailers can use tools to accurately identify synthetic diamonds. Thomas Hainschwang (GGTL Liechtenstein) will discuss the analysis of diamonds, colored stones, and pearls.
The summit will host other speakers, like Maria McLennan, forensic jeweller; Joanna Whalley, a freelance metals conservator and gemmologist; Kerry Gregory; Sarah Fergusson, Senior Specialist for Watches at Bonhams; and Charles Bexfield, gemmology teacher at Gem-A.
