Fluid and melt inclusions protagonists in Palermo. A National Workshop in May 2023

The evocative atmosphere of the Botanical Garden of Palermo, Italy will host the first National Workshop on fluid and melt Inclusions on May 10 and 11, 2023.

The focus of the conference will be identification, characterization and use of inclusions in science and business.

Fluid inclusions, melt inclusions, advanced analytical techniques for their study and their use as a method of investigation for prospecting: multiple topics will be discussed by different experts from several Italian universities, such as Maria Luce Frezzotti and Rosario Esposito (University of Milano Bicocca); Anna Gioncada and Paolo Fulignati (University of Pisa); Andrea Rizzo (INGV sez. of Palermo and Milan); Giovanni Ruggeri (CNR of Florence); Maya Musa (gemologist).

The workshop managed by Francesco Maria Lo Forte (University of Palermo), Alessandro Aiuppa (University of Palermo) and Simone Costa (University of Pisa) aims to catch the eye of the academic and business world on the topic.

The program. 

The free-registration event is open for up to 30 people and will welcome not only professionals but also students from bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral programs, researchers and professors. The abstract submission deadline is March 31, 2023.
