The International Gemological Institute (IGI) recently graded two remarkable lab-grown diamonds by Meylor Global. One is a 4.38-carat polished radiant cut with VVS2 clarity, displaying a fancy deep greenish blue color. The other, a 10.96-carat rough diamond, exhibits distinct blue and yellow zones due to High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT) growth.

IGI’s analysis unveiled deliberate color separation in these gems, a novel achievement. Nitrogen traces were found in yellow areas, while blue coloring resulted from boron doping by Meylor. Both stones were classified as Type IIb, with controlled nitrogen and boron content. Meylor CEO Yuliya Kusher noted that the process that led to this precise color zoning was developed in order to be evocative of the flag of Ukraine.
