The 40th edition of Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) concluded with a post-pandemic international participation record. With 3,422 exhibitors from 44 countries, it drew 53,879 buyers from 142 nations. While attendance from Europe and the Americas was below 2018 levels, the fair distinguished itself as the primary global meeting point for the industry, also celebrating its 40th anniversary with awards and educational programs.

David Bondi of Informa Markets emphasized Hong Kong’s pivotal role as a gateway, solidifying JGW’s reputation as an essential destination for global jewellery sourcing. The fair provided a comprehensive overview of the gemstone world, featuring exhibits, live gemstone-cutting demonstrations, and engaging experiences centered around the anniversary, with a particular focus on rubies thanks to the Red Radiance educational program. The next edition of JGW will take place from September 16 to 20, 2024, at the AWE, and from September 18 to 22 at the HKCEC.
