The International Diamond Laboratory (IDL), a leading provider of gemstone grading and certification services in the Middle East, has announced a change in ownership. Effective immediately, Mr. Peter Meeus, the founder and long-time owner of IDL Dubai, has officially transferred ownership to Mr. Shaunak Shastree and Mr. Francesco Natale.
«It has been an honor to have been involved with IDL Dubai since its inception in 2006 and contribute to the thriving precious jewels community in this region», said Mr. Meeus. «I am happy to pass the baton to Shaunak and Francesco, who both with their extensive experience and passion for the industry, will successfully steer IDL into an even brighter future. I wish them and the entire IDL team all the very best».
Both new owners bring extensive experience in the gemstone industry, each with over 35 years of expertise. Mr. Francesco Natale has been an integral part of IDL Dubai for the past 16 years, serving as Chief Gemologist and Lab Director. His profound knowledge of gemological sciences and rigorous approach to certification have solidified IDL’s status as a trusted authority in the field. Mr. Shaunak Shastree, on the other hand, has held leadership positions in prestigious companies within the global jewelry sector, bringing a strategic vision to IDL’s future development.
«We are thrilled and honoured to take the helm at International Diamond Laboratory Dubai», stated Mr. Shastree and Mr. Natale in a joint statement. «Peter Meeus has built an exceptional organization, and we are committed to upholding its high standards and reputation. We look forward to working with the talented IDL team to further enhance our services and lead as innovators to serve the needs of our valued clients in Dubai and beyond».
IDL Dubai will continue to operate from its current location at ‘The Gold & Diamond Park’, Dubai.
