The Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) has announced the opening of applications for the 2025 gemology scholarships. These scholarships aim to support outstanding students and researchers worldwide in the field of gemology. Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) on May 15, 2025.
Eligible candidates must hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent and be enrolled in a gemology training program recognized by the AGA. The scholarships cover tuition fees and laboratory costs, with funds disbursed directly to the chosen educational institution. Travel, accommodation, and other related expenses are not included. Detailed application guidelines are available on the official AGA website.

In 2024, to mark its 50th anniversary, the AGA awarded scholarships to Sara Kurth, a Geology graduate majoring in Museum Studies from Beloit College. With the scholarship, Sara Kurth completed her studies at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and currently is working as a museum educator, sharing her passion for gems and gemology with the public.
Through these initiatives, the AGA remains committed to promoting gemological education and supporting individuals dedicated to spreading knowledge about gems on a global scale.
