To mark its 50th anniversary, the Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) announced the return of AGA Gemological Research Grant award for 2024, open to gemological enthusiasts and professionals worldwide.
While applications for the Scholarship project were available until 15 May 2024, those for the Research Grant, which opened on 15 April, have been extended until 15 July 2024. Interested parties are urged to read the admission criteria carefully and submit their applications by the deadline indicated.
The 2024 AGA Gemological Research Grant supports individuals developing a scientific research project whose subject is in or directly related to gemology. The Grant provides funding of up to $10,000 for an approved project as authorized by the AGA Board of Governors. Applicants must have an established relationship with a gem research laboratory or a scientific institute to accomplish the proposed project and should have a degree in science and/or extensive experience in a related gemological field.
