In the last few months, as a reaction to the appearance of counterfeit diamonds with fake laser inscriptions, several international gemological labs, like GIA and IGI (International Gemological Institute), have introduced a same-day service to provide quick and accurate assessments of diamond authenticity, allowing consumers to determine the authenticity of their diamonds within 24 hours.
Clients are encouraged to schedule appointments in advance. Providing an estimate of the number of stones for testing is also recommended to ensure efficient service.
