September will be a month full of international trade shows dedicated to the world of gems and jewelry. In addition to the events being planned in Europe, to which we devoted a previous article, among the most anticipated shows in Asia and America are the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair in Thailand, the Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW), the Hardrock Summit in Denver, United States, and the Mideast Watch & Jewellery Show in the United Arab Emirates.

Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair – September 9-13, 2024, Bangkok, Thailand

The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair is one of the world’s most renowned gem and jewelry fairs. This year it will be held at the recently renovated Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. With over 1,100 exhibitors and more than 40,000 expected buyers, the event will be an important meeting point for global operators and jewelry enthusiasts. The show is supported by the Department of International Trade Promotion and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT).

This event, organized consecutively for four decades, clearly highlights how Thailand is a gateway to ASEAN countries, where business opportunities abound, and as a global hub for gem and jewelry sourcing and production.

Jewellery & GEM World Hong Kong (JGW) – September 16-20 (AWE) and September 18-22 (HKCEC), 2024, Hong Kong

One Show, Two Venues”: this is the concept of Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW), organized in two different locations. From September 16th to 20th, the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) will host the materials section, featuring loose diamonds, colored gems, pearls, and other precious materials. From September 18th to 22, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) will present finished jewelry, packaging solutions, tools and equipment, and technologies related to the jewelry industry. The fair will host over 40 pavilions, including Fine Gem, Fine Design, International Premier Pavilion, and CORE, showcasing new collections and bestsellers covering the entire spectrum of jewelry and gemstones. The fair also represents a networking opportunity for the global jewelry community and will feature a customized seminar program highlighting new trends and innovations in the sector.

Mideast Watch & Jewellery Show – September 25-29, 2024, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

In its 54th edition, the Mideast Watch & Jewellery Show in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is the leading event for jewelry and watches in the Middle East. The biannual event attracts exhibitors and visitors from around the world. The fair has been active since 1993, with the support of the industry and sector leaders. Wealthy families and royal figures will be involved, creating an important networking opportunity, meetings with new clients, and strengthening regional market presence.

North America: Denver’s Minerals

In the United States, the Hardrock Summit stands out as the premier fall fair for minerals, fossils, gems, and jewelry. More than 150 exhibitors will be displaying a wide variety of high-end products. This year the Westin Westminster will host the fair, where the participants can attend a program of roundtables, discussions, and presentations on significant industry topics. Premier exhibitors will showcase their natural discoveries from around the globe in Denver. Collectors and dealers will have the chance to uncover new finds from the industry’s most renowned players and gain access to an extensive selection of cut gems and raw stones
