Often referred to as the “Island of Gems”, Sri Lanka has earned a worldwide reputation as a source of exceptional gemstones. Among the more than 50 varieties of colored gemstones mined here, the Padparadscha sapphire, known for its mesmerizing pink-orange hue, is a true national treasure.
This year’s event draws inspiration from Sri Lanka’s biodiversity, with the peacock as its central symbol. A symbol of tropical vibrancy and elegance, the peacock embodies the island’s stunning array of sapphires, from deep royal blues to shimmering aqua greens. This motif pays homage not only to the island’s natural beauty, but also to its rich cultural traditions.
