In celebration of the “Made in Italy” Day, the Oromare production hub in Marcianise, in the province of Caserta, is gearing up to host a highly significant event for the jewelry sector. On April 15, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, the Auditorium of the OROMARE Center will serve as the backdrop for the event “Made in Italy – Campania’s Goldsmithing Craftsmanship: Between Tradition and Innovation”. This initiative is officially endorsed by MIMIT (the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) and organized by the Casa del Made in Italy of Caserta in close collaboration with Oromare.

Moderated by Dr. Aldo Antonio Cobianchi, the day’s proceedings aim to achieve an ambitious and crucial objective for our industry: to champion the ancient goldsmithing craftsmanship of the Campania region, recognizing it not only as an art form of absolute excellence and profound cultural heritage, but also as a true driving force for the economy on both a local and national scale.
Rooted in the quintessential Made in Italy concept of “Bello e Ben Fatto” (Beautiful and Well-Crafted), the debate will focus on the urgent need to ensure the transfer of technical and manufacturing skills to the next generation of artisans. The goal is to build a solid generational bridge connecting master goldsmiths — the custodians of tradition — with emerging young talent. This dialogue will highlight how educational pathways, ranging from high school programs to university degrees, can synergistically integrate with the technical and practical skills of businesses, thereby injecting fresh energy, innovation, and sustainability throughout the entire jewelry supply chain.
To achieve this goal, the project leverages a high-profile, multidisciplinary network. A leading role is entrusted to the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, which will provide scientific contributions on the topic of contemporary design. Alongside academic representatives, administrators from numerous secondary schools will be in attendance with their students. Furthermore, trade associations (CNA and Confartigianato), museums, and social promotion organizations will act as ambassadors for the artisanal know-how of the region’s historic goldsmithing workshops. This collaborative effort aims to create an ecosystem where culture, education, and Made in Italy manufacturing can finally converse without barriers, ultimately showcasing our exceptional, “precious” heritage to the world.
