May once again proves to be one of the busiest moments in the international trade show calendar for the gem and jewelry industry. In the United States, the month opens on the East Coast with a well-established event for dealers and enthusiasts, before quickly shifting to Las Vegas, where the so-called “Jewelry Week” takes center stage — a sequence of events that, between late May and early June, brings together the entire global jewelry supply chain. From loose gemstones to vintage pieces and high-end contemporary jewelry, every segment finds its place here, with shows that differ in positioning, audience, and access policies.
THE SPRING NJ GEM SHOW – Edison, New Jersey (May 6–10, 2026)
Kicking off the month is The Spring NJ Gem Show, organized by Hart Events in Edison, New Jersey. This event combines a strong commercial focus with broad accessibility, standing out for its wide-ranging offering — from loose gemstones and lapidary materials to finished jewelry.
The show’s key strength, held from May 6 to 10 at the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center, lies in its hybrid nature: alongside established industry professionals, it also welcomes independent designers, artisans, and emerging buyers. This makes it an entry point for those looking to enter the U.S. market or source from less structured suppliers compared to major international circuits. The presence of dealers specializing in natural stones and lapidary materials further reinforces its strong gemological component.

COUTURE – Las Vegas, Nevada (May 27–31, 2026)
With COUTURE, the focus shifts to the heart of Las Vegas Jewelry Week — and to a completely different dimension: that of high-end contemporary jewelry. Hosted at Wynn Las Vegas from May 27 to 31, the event stands out for its highly selective nature and its format built around invitations and pre-scheduled appointments.
COUTURE is widely regarded as one of the most exclusive platforms for fine jewelry and luxury watch design, bringing together established brands, emerging designers, and top-tier retailers in an intentionally intimate setting. It is here that designers present their latest and most innovative creations, and where brands unveil their newest collections.
What sets COUTURE apart is its curatorial approach: rather than a general trade show, it operates as a carefully edited platform where products are selected according to precise aesthetic and market positioning criteria. Satellite events such as the COUTURE Design Awards and evening gatherings further strengthen its relational dimension. During the Awards, the competition pieces are presented and displayed in a dedicated exhibition space.

Las Vegas Antique Jewelry and Watch Show – Las Vegas, Nevada (May 28–31, 2026)
Running concurrently with COUTURE, also at Wynn Las Vegas, is the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry and Watch Show, a key event for the antique and estate jewelry market, scheduled from May 28 to 31, 2026.
With over 400 exhibitors and thousands of expected visitors, the show offers a journey through the centuries, featuring pieces ranging from the Georgian period to mid-century design, including historic signatures and one-of-a-kind creations.
Unlike shows focused on contemporary production, the value here lies in rarity and provenance: signed jewelry, vintage watches, and decorative art objects engage a clientele of collectors, specialized dealers, and high-end buyers.
JCK 2026 – Las Vegas, Nevada (May 29 – June 1, 2026)
The driving force behind Jewelry Week and a global benchmark for the industry, JCK stands as one of the largest international trade shows dedicated to jewelry. Hosted at The Venetian Expo from May 29 to June 1, it brings together thousands of professionals each year, including retailers, manufacturers, designers, and suppliers from over 100 countries.
For more than 30 years, JCK has served as a central meeting point for the industry in Las Vegas, offering a comprehensive showcase — from loose gemstones and machinery to finished jewelry. Alongside its commercial dimension, the JCK Talks educational program and themed initiatives — such as the new Lifestyle Pavilion, dedicated to lifestyle accessories, home décor, and gift items, and the “Timepieces” area focused on watchmaking — enhance the overall experience, providing concrete tools to navigate market developments.
