On May 21, 2026, Torre del Greco (Naples, Italy) will host the inaugural edition of the “Precious Sea Summit”, a forum dedicated to precious organic materials of marine origin. Promoted by Assocoral in collaboration with the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) and the Consorzio Corallo e Cammeo Torrese, the event aims to establish an annual dialogue platform for industry professionals. The proceedings will focus on the entire supply chain, extending the analysis beyond coral and cameos to include mother-of-pearl, shells, and pearls. At the center of the debate will be the main contemporary technical and commercial challenges, such as the traceability of materials, the protection of marine resources, and the integration of traditional craftsmanship into the global market.

The initiative fits structurally within IEG’s “Jewellery Agenda”, designed to connect local manufacturing districts with the international dynamics of the jewelry sector. The summit is supported by CIBJO (The World Jewellery Confederation) as the main partner, alongside institutional and trade organizations such as the Italian Trade Agency (Agenzia ICE), Confindustria Federorafi, Confcommercio Federpreziosi, D.OR.Campania, and Federalberghi Costa del Vesuvio.
The day’s program will be divided into several phases, starting with a roundtable at Palazzo Vallelonga, the headquarters of the Banca di Credito Popolare, moderated by the director of Preziosa Magazine, Giovanni Micera. In addition to the institutional debate, organized in synergy with the Municipality and media partners Preziosa Magazine and VO+, technical and educational in-depth sessions are scheduled in the local area. These include visits to workshops, the Museo del Corallo, and the “Francesco Degni” Art High School, with the aim of analyzing the methodologies for the transmission of specialized skills related to the processing of organic gemological materials to new generations.
Participation in the conference is open upon mandatory registration through the official website, subject to the venue’s remaining capacity.
