Valenza is firmly reasserting its strategic role in the industry not only in the jewelry manufacturing sector but also in the field of precious stones. A strong signal in this direction came about a year ago with the Valenza Gem Forum, which reignited international attention on the district and reinforced its voice on the global stage.
Within this framework came the September 15, 2025 event, “From Production to Showcase: The World of Synthetic Diamonds”, successfully promoted by the Belvedere Association and organized by Pallavicini Gioielli. The evening delved into highly topical issues such as synthetic diamond production methods, diagnostic techniques, industry regulations, and market evolution. Significant attention was also given to emerging topics including the geographic origin of colored gemstones and the use of Artificial Intelligence in gemological analysis.
Key contributors to the event included Emanuele Costa from the University of Turin and Raffaella Navone — longstanding collaborator of IGR — who played a central role in making the meeting possible, thereby reinforcing the magazine’s commitment to supporting key industry territories. Indeed, IGR, as the voice of the Piedmont goldsmithing and gemological district, is strengthening its presence in Valenza with the goal of enhancing, also at an international level, the historical and contemporary significance of the district in education, research, and gemological analysis.
As tangible proof of this commitment, every participant received a complimentary copy of the magazine, underscoring the increasingly active synergy between IGR and the Valenza district.
